Job Purpose

🛠️ Provide essential technical knowledge and apply advanced engineering techniques across diverse industrial engineering assignments, ensuring operational efficiency, safety, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• ⚙️ Detailed design of industrial machines, sub-components, sheet metal, weldments, and large-scale assemblies.
• 📝 Generate detailed drawings and Bill of Materials (BOMs).
• 📄 Prepare manufacturing and assembly instructions.
• 🏭 Ensure all inspection and preventative maintenance tasks are documented and scheduled on the group CMMS.
• 🤝 Liaise with departments regarding failures and potential solutions.
• 🔧 Drive preventive and predictive maintenance initiatives.
• 📈 Promote continuous improvement and quality assurance on mechanical work executed.
• 📊 Compile detailed reports on failures, maintenance tasks, and corrective actions.

Qualifying Criteria

🎓 Education: BSc/B.Eng./B-Tech in Mechanical Engineering
💼 Experience: 8–10 years in maintenance or production environment
💻 Skills & Knowledge:

• Competency in computer-aided engineering design and drawing

• Hands-on experience in maintenance/manufacturing environments

• Hydraulic system design and maintenance (advantageous)

• Electrical control systems (advantageous)

• Project management and leadership experience

• Valid driver’s license and fully computer literate (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)

• Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)

• Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety Act

• Strong administrative and communication skills

Standard Hours & Benefits

🕒 Standard Hours:

• Mon–Thu: 07:30 – 17:00

• Fri: 07:30 – 16:00

• Overtime as operationally required
