iOCO Infrastructure Services is on the hunt for a tech-savvy, seasoned pro in network engineering to enhance our dynamic team. Your role will be pivotal, demanding a rich understanding of the nuts and bolts of network protocols, coupled with the skill to navigate complex network landscapes confidently.
Your Daily Impact:
You’ll be at the helm, steering our network operations to assure steadfast reliability and stellar performance, with minimal downtime. Your leadership will direct critical network upgrades and project implementations, harmonizing new tech introductions with ongoing operations seamlessly. You will also:
- Orchestrate and refine network operations ensuring peak performance.
- Pioneer network upgrades and expansions with an eagle eye for integration and functionality.
- Collaborate proactively with diverse teams to resolve technical conundrums.
- Craft and maintain robust network infrastructures, encompassing LAN, WLAN, and WAN.
- Mastermind and implement software, ensuring seamless network integration.
- Maintain vigilance over network systems to guarantee performance and security.
- Guide technology decisions, aligning with lifecycle management and strategic objectives.
- Craft comprehensive technical documentation to back every move.
- Offer insights to elevate network capacity, resilience, and scalability.
Your Technical Prowess:
- A decade’s worth of experience with hands-on network management.
- Proficient with specific vendors like Fortinet and Juniper.
- Deep-seated understanding of networking from routers to firewalls and beyond.
- Strong footing in network administration and systemic architecture.
- Keen acumen in network security and access protocols.
- Selecting and deploying Cisco-centric network solutions.
- Capable of working autonomously with exceptional communication abilities.
Necessary Credentials:
- High School Diploma (Matric).
- Advanced degree or diploma in Computer Science, Telecommunication Engineering, or a similar field.
- Certifications: Juniper (JNCIP), Fortinet NSE7, and preferably Cisco certifications.
Additional Details: This full-time position is based in Pretoria and involves working in various settings, from data centers to offices and field locations. Physical duties include installing and configuring hardware systems. A personal vehicle is required for potential travel.
