As a Senior Packaging Engineer, you will be at the heart of developing and optimizing world-class packaging solutions that reach millions of consumers globally. You’ll manage cross-functional projects from concept to post-launch while contributing to SC Johnson’s sustainability and product innovation goals.
🎯 Key Responsibilities:
✔️ Drive packaging development through Commercialization, Launch, and Post-Launch phases
✔️ Create timelines, milestone tracking, and risk mitigation strategies
✔️ Deliver technical leadership in cross-functional teams to launch new and improved packaging
✔️ Identify and apply new packaging technologies and materials
✔️ Conduct performance and compatibility tests for component changes
✔️ Collaborate with internal teams (R&D, Marketing, Product Supply, etc.) to accelerate innovation
✔️ Maintain and develop packaging specifications for finished goods
✔️ Lead packaging development for regional and global brands
🧠 What You’ll Bring:
✔️ Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field (Advanced degree preferred)
✔️ 2+ years of packaging/product development experience
✔️ Strong multitasking and project management skills
✔️ Familiarity with various packaging technologies (e.g. aerosols, plastics, films, blister packs)
✔️ Excellent communication and leadership within cross-functional teams
✔️ Financial acumen and experience managing external vendors (preferred)
