🚀 Role Overview

The Senior Professional Nurse plays a key leadership role within the unit by supporting the Unit Manager, ensuring patient safety, enhancing the client journey, and coordinating quality-based nursing care.

This role combines hands-on patient care, staff mentorship, risk mitigation, and clinical leadership — making it ideal for a nurse who is confident, experienced, and ready to guide a team in delivering high-quality care.

🏥 Clinical Excellence & Patient Care

Ensure comprehensive, safe nursing care aligned with clinical quality standards.
Perform thorough patient assessments and update individual care plans.
Identify clinical risks and implement corrective actions promptly.

😊 Client Experience Management

Promote a positive, respectful, and supportive patient environment.
Manage patient queries, concerns, and communication effectively.

👥 Staff Leadership & Mentorship

Support optimal allocation, utilisation, and retention of nursing staff.
Mentor new and student nurses to build confidence and clinical competence.
Conduct continuous assessments to guide development and training.

💼 Operational & Resource Management

Assist in controlling operational expenses, stock usage, and equipment handling.
Ensure proper documentation, record keeping, and audit readiness.

🎓 Minimum Qualifications

Essential Education

Professional Nurse Qualification
Postgraduate Diploma in a specialist field if working in a specialised unit (e.g., Perioperative Nursing)

💼 Experience Requirements

Essential Experience

Minimum 3 years experience as a Professional Nurse in a hospital environment
Minimum 1 year experience mentoring or supervising junior staff
