Mediclinic Limpopo is seeking a Senior Professional Nurse – CSSD to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated nursing professional to provide safe and high-quality patient care while supporting the unit manager in patient care coordination and unit management.
Key Responsibilities ✅
✔ Ensure comprehensive and safe patient care by mitigating risks and maintaining clinical quality standards.
✔ Manage and enhance the patient experience.
✔ Oversee staffing resources, ensuring optimal supply, retention, and utilization.
✔ Empower and develop staff competence through ongoing assessment and training.
✔ Assist in managing operational expenses, including stock and capital management.
Required Qualifications & Experience 🎓
🔹 Essential Education: Degree/Diploma in General Nursing
🔹 Desired Education: Midwifery, Postgraduate certificate/diploma in a specialty area
🔹 Essential Experience: Minimum 3 years of post-qualification nursing experience
Key Skills & Knowledge 🏥
🩺 Pharmacology
🩺 Nursing record keeping & documentation
🩺 Nursing processes and procedures
🩺 Proficiency in Microsoft Office
🩺 Knowledge of relevant nursing legislation
🩺 Infection prevention and control
🩺 Scientific nursing principles and patient assessment skills
🩺 Risk identification & mitigation
🩺 Basic life support (BLS) certification
🩺 ACLS, ATLS, PALS training (for specialized wards)
🩺 Strong analytical and mentorship skills
