Job Overview
The Senior Professional Nurse β Cath Lab & Vascular Theatre role is designed for an experienced theatre nurse who can support the Unit Manager in ensuring exceptional patient care and operational efficiency.
The successful candidate will provide direct patient care in the cardiac catheterisation laboratory and vascular theatre, while also mentoring junior nurses and students.
This role focuses on maintaining clinical excellence, patient safety, risk mitigation, and team development within a high-acuity specialist environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver safe and comprehensive patient care
- Support clinical risk mitigation processes
- Maintain patient care quality standards
- Manage and improve patient experience
- Assist with staffing coordination and resource allocation
- Mentor new and student nurses
- Conduct ongoing staff competency development
- Assist with stock and capital management

Qualifications
Education
Essential:
- Professional Nurse qualification
- Postgraduate Diploma in Operating Theatre
Experience
Minimum required:
- 3β4 yearsβ professional nursing experience in a similar specialist environment
- 1 year of mentorship experience
