About the Role:
Circle Health Group, the UK’s leading independent healthcare provider, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Radiographer – Mammography to join the team at The Alexandra Hospital in Cheadle. As a Senior Radiographer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the Imaging Department operates efficiently and safely, consistently providing high-quality, patient-focused services. Key Responsibilities:

Conduct general and specialist radiographic procedures, particularly in mammography, ensuring high-quality diagnostic results.

Support breast clinics and assist with vacuum-assisted biopsies as a mammographer or advanced practitioner.

Deliver radiographic services while adhering to the lowest radiation exposure standards, maintaining patient and staff safety.

Interpret clinical requirements, adapting imaging techniques appropriately.

Ensure compliance with IRMER regulations, local policies, and radiation safety protocols.

Maintain high levels of patient care, providing support during procedures and resolving challenges with professionalism.

Supervise and mentor less experienced staff, fostering a learning culture within the department.

Use RIS/PACS and other IT systems to manage patient records and imaging workflow efficiently.

Accurately charge for all imaging services in accordance with hospital billing guidelines.
Minimum Requirements:

Degree or Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography.

HCPC registration (Health and Care Professions Council).
-
Proven experience in acute healthcare settings.
-
Ability to perform I.V. contrast injections.
-
Must be a qualified mammographer or advanced practitioner.

Familiarity with RIS/PACS and digital imaging systems.

Knowledge of College of Radiographers and HCPC Code of Conduct.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, especially when dealing with patients.

Completion of Circle Health Group’s PGD training is an advantage.
