Mindray is seeking a Senior Service Engineer to join our team in Johannesburg, South Africa. This role will support a wide range of countries in Southern Africa, focusing on Patient Monitoring and Life Support systems. As a Senior Service Engineer, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the highest quality of technical support and service management across the region, contributing to the success of Mindray’s product line.

Key Responsibilities

Service Management & Technical Support
Provide expert support to local distributors across Southern Africa, particularly in Patient Monitoring and Life Support systems.
✔ Collaborate with Mindray’s headquarters to develop local service strategies and enhance workflow processes.

Customer Satisfaction & Support
Guide distributors on managing their service teams to meet Headquarters’ guidelines. Optimize internal and external work procedures to improve service delivery.
✔ Provide ongoing training to distributors’ service teams to enhance service quality.

Market Research & Feedback
Gather information on competitor services to stay ahead of industry trends.
✔ Collect and analyze customer feedback to improve service offerings and operational processes.

Platform Setup & Maintenance
Oversee the establishment of local operational platforms, including call centers, spare parts management, and customer care programs.

Value-added Services
Organize value-added services locally to elevate the company’s brand presence in the market.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Bioengineering, or Biomedical Engineering (or equivalent). Preferably with a specialization in Biotechnology or Biomedical Equipment.
3+ years of experience in customer service within the medical industry, with a focus on Patient Monitoring and Life Support servicing.
✔ Proficient in troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating medical products.
✔ Strong leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to motivate both internal teams and external partners.
✔ Excellent communication skills, customer service orientation, and a strong sense of responsibility.
✔ Willingness to travel frequently across Southern Africa and occasionally other African countries.
