What You’ll Do:
✔️ Code Leadership: Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code while serving as an example for other engineers.
✔️ Project Ownership: Take active part in the design and implementation of medium to large-scale features.
✔️ Technical Expertise: Provide advice on technical decisions impacting the team and organization.
✔️ Continuous Improvement: Improve engineering quality and mentor team members to enhance their careers.
✔️ Process Enhancement: Contribute to and improve team processes, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write high-quality code and design scalable software solutions.
- Contribute to both the technical and strategic growth of the team.
- Oversee complex features, from conceptualization to deployment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet business and technical needs.
- Mentor junior team members and encourage skill development.
Key Requirements:
📚 Education:
- Grade 12 or equivalent (Essential)
- Relevant IT degree or diploma (Desirable)
🛠️ Experience:
- 7+ years of experience working as a Software Engineer.
- Strong background in PHP and familiarity with PHP frameworks & open-source technologies.
- Experience with Docker for building, testing, and deploying applications.
- Database management expertise, including data migration and scripting.
- Proficiency with modern Git workflows (pull requests, code reviews, CI/CD).
- Familiarity with Agile Software Development (Scrum/Kanban).
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
- Exposure to Cloud technologies (AWS, etc.).
Additional Skills:
💬 Communication: Ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
👥 Leadership: Proven ability to mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering teamwork and a collaborative culture.

📚 Financial Knowledge: Basic understanding of accounting principles (e.g., double-entry bookkeeping, financial statements).
