The Role: Senior Test Engineer

We’re on the lookout for a Senior Test Engineer to join our growing Accounting product team at Sage. If you’re passionate about improving products, systems, and customer experiences, this is the perfect role for you. As a Senior Test Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our products by executing thorough testing processes and automating testing tasks.

In this hybrid role, you’ll work closely with a dynamic delivery team, sharing knowledge and expertise across the testing chapter. You will focus on automation design, coordination, and planning to support multiple complex initiatives and projects, ensuring the highest standards of product quality and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• 📄 Collaborate with the delivery team to create source documents and maintain testing artifacts that maximize testing efficiency.

• 🚀 Execute various testing approaches, such as exploratory, regression, usability, and integration testing, to ensure comprehensive product quality.

• ⚙️ Automate test scripts and maintain effective automation processes to streamline testing and ensure robust product performance.

• 🧑‍🏫 Share knowledge and mentor other team members to avoid key person dependency and improve overall team performance.

• 📅 Drive timely product delivery by covering all requirements and working within defined testing phases.

• 📚 Stay updated with the latest advancements in testing and continuously improve testing methods.

Requirements:

• 🔍 Experience: Strong understanding of accounting systems and how customers interact with the product.

• 💻 Test Automation Framework: Familiarity with Selenium and test automation practices.

• 🛠️ Tools: Experience with Jira, Github, and Visual Studio from an automation perspective.

• ☁️ Cloud Technologies: Familiarity with AWS.

• 🗣️ SQL Expertise: Strong knowledge of SQL to conduct database testing and validation.

• 📜 Certification: ISTQB certification is highly desirable.

• 🌟 Skills: Excellent problem-solving, analytical skills, and a strong attention to detail.
