Role Overview

Brunswick Group is seeking a Digital Executive (SEO) to join its expanding Digital practice in Johannesburg. This opportunity is ideal for a professional with a solid foundation in SEO and a deep interest in corporate communications, AI-led digital strategy, and reputation-focused digital advisory.

In this role, you will support senior practitioners, contribute to sophisticated client programs, and help deliver insight-driven SEO recommendations that influence corporate positioning and stakeholder engagement. You will operate in a high-performance environment where digital, communications, and reputation intersect.

The Executive will be hands-on across research, analysis, content structuring, SEO implementation, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration. This is a role designed for professionals ready to accelerate growth, own deliverables, and contribute meaningfully to global mandates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support SEO and AI-driven analysis, developing recommendations aligned with corporate communication objectives and stakeholder engagement strategies.

  • Conduct detailed research into digital ecosystems, competitor activity, industry trends, and online performance signals.

  • Produce well-structured client deliverables such as monitoring reports, insights memos, presentations, and advisory notes.

  • Work collaboratively with Communications, Digital, Public Affairs, and Sector teams to integrate SEO insights into broader mandates.

  • Engage partners across digital platforms, media environments, and industry-specialist networks to drive better outcomes for clients.

  • Uphold the highest standards of quality, precision, and accuracy in all work delivered.

Key Competencies

  • 2–4 years’ hands-on SEO experience in an agency, consultancy, or corporate communications environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

  • Proficiency with SEO tools such as Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, and GA4.

  • Ability to diagnose digital performance issues, identify trends, and produce actionable insights.

  • Strong analytical capabilities and writing skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical information.

  • Confident communicator—strong written, verbal, and visual communication.

  • Highly organized, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple concurrent deliverables.

  • A growth-oriented mindset, curiosity, and willingness to contribute beyond standard responsibilities.

Why This Role Matters

Digital reputation continues to evolve at the speed of technology, and Brunswick is at the forefront of advising global organisations on high-stakes challenges that shape markets, influence stakeholders, and define corporate narratives.

This position gives you exposure to top-tier client work, international collaboration, and the opportunity to deepen your expertise in SEO, AI strategy, analytics, digital communications, and reputation management. You will be part of a high-calibre, globally connected team that operates with excellence, rigour, and strategic discipline.
