๐ŸŒŸ Role Introduction

Clicks Tsakane Mall is seeking a Service Advisor to support store operations by ensuring exceptional service at the point of sale. Reporting to the Store Manager, this role is responsible for controlling POS operations, guiding shop assistants and cashiers, and ensuring efficient stock and cash management while delivering a consistently positive customer experience.


๐ŸŽฏ Purpose of the Role

The Service Advisor ensures service excellence at the point of sale by managing daily operational activities, maintaining efficient POS processes, and supporting front-line staff. The role plays a key part in minimising risk, preventing losses, and reinforcing Clicksโ€™ reputation for outstanding customer service.


๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Key Responsibilities

  • Direct and control all point-of-sale operational activities efficiently

  • Ensure fast, friendly, and professional customer service at all times

  • Manage cash handling and stock control processes to minimise shrinkage

  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and administrative accuracy

  • Supervise, motivate, and support shop assistants and cashiers

  • Ensure staff are trained, competent, and scheduled in line with labour legislation

  • Resolve customer queries promptly and in accordance with company policies

  • Drive Clicks ClubCard promotions to achieve participation targets

  • Enforce security measures, returns policies, and cash control procedures

  • Act as a brand ambassador by delivering visible, customer-focused service

  • Support and promote Clicksโ€™ values and customer-first vision

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, promotions, and in-store events


๐Ÿง  Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

  • Strong understanding of customer service excellence principles

  • Knowledge of retail and FMCG merchandising and promotions

  • Sound financial, stock, risk, and compliance management knowledge

  • Understanding of labour legislation and IR practices

  • Results-driven with strong target orientation

  • Good leadership and supervisory capability

  • Strong planning, organising, and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Computer literacy and numerical proficiency


๐ŸŽ“ Qualifications and Experience

  • Grade 12 (Essential)

  • Mathematics 50% and English 50% at Grade 12 level (Desirable)

  • Relevant Retail or Business Management qualification (Essential for external applicants)

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a customer-facing retail or FMCG environment

  • Experience supervising multiple employees in store operations

  • Proven numeracy and stock management experience
