Job Overview

The Service Advisor plays a critical role in delivering outstanding customer experiences at the point of sale. This position ensures efficient POS operations, effective cash and stock control, and the leadership of front-line retail teams to consistently meet customer service and operational standards.

As a visible brand ambassador, the Service Advisor supports Clicks’ vision of being the customer’s first choice health and beauty retailer.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and control all point-of-sale operational activities efficiently

  • Ensure secure handling of cash and stock while minimising shrinkage

  • Train, motivate, and guide shop assistants and cashiers to deliver service excellence

  • Ensure optimal staffing levels in line with schedules, labour legislation, and company policy

  • Resolve customer queries professionally and within company guidelines

  • Drive Clicks ClubCard sign-ups to meet participation targets

  • Enforce security, returns, and administrative procedures at POS level

  • Maintain excellent housekeeping and administrative standards

  • Stay informed on product ranges, promotions, and in-store campaigns


Qualifications

Education

  • Grade 12 (Essential)

  • Relevant Retail or Business Management qualification (Essential for external applicants)

  • Mathematics 50% and English 50% at Grade 12 level (Desirable)

Experience

  • Retail or FMCG environment experience

  • Exposure to point-of-sale operations, cash handling, and staff supervision

Skills

  • Strong planning, organising, and problem-solving skills

  • Results-driven with a customer-centric mindset

  • Sound people management and leadership capability

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

  • Computer literacy and numeracy competence
