Position Overview
As a Services Specialist in Card Acquiring, you will use your technical know-how and digital skills to:
- Uncover, troubleshoot, and resolve client issues related to banking systems and processes.
- Build long-standing relationships with clients by delivering tailored financial solutions.
- Exceed client expectations by offering the right service and resolving escalated client problems with care.
Key Responsibilities
Client Engagement
- ✔️ Exceed Client Expectations:
Deliver superior service and the right solutions to meet client needs. - ✔️ Build Lasting Relationships:
Foster mutual trust and confidence through expert client service and effective problem resolution. - ✔️ Educate Clients:
Guide clients on subscribing and managing their accounts via Nedbank’s self-service platforms. - ✔️ Deliver Tailored Financial Solutions:
Use digital insights and expertise to resolve issues related to self-service, features, and digital functionality.
Business Operations
- ✔️ Fraud Prevention & Risk Management:
Report occurrences outside mandate or authentication procedures to relevant management. - ✔️ Technical Issue Resolution:
Log and resolve technical issues with cash equipment and devices through the IT help-desk. - ✔️ Support Team Operations:
Assist Client Advisors and Client Support Specialists with complex queries and complaints. - ✔️ Control & Compliance:
Manage daily, weekly, and monthly control activities including branch cash, forex cash, and travel cards. - ✔️ Documentation & System Management:
Adhere to metrofiling processes, manage Document Management Portals, and process ARIBA system requests.
Risk and Compliance
- ✔️ Adhere to Policies:
Follow Nedbank’s security, operational, and compliance procedures. - ✔️ Maintain Governance Standards:
Ensure all activities are in line with Nedbank’s risk and control practices.

People Specification
Essential Qualifications:
- 🎓 Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees
- 🎓 Preferred: Completed Advanced Certificate in Banking Services – NQF6
Experience Requirements:
- ✅ 3-6 Years Experience:
Proven background in Retail/Banking Client Service, Cash Management, Banking Systems, and 2nd Line Problem Resolution. - ✅ Foreign Exchange Experience:
Essential for handling diverse transaction scenarios.
Technical & Professional Skills:
- 🛠️ Customer Service Excellence:
Deep understanding of customer service principles and product knowledge. - 🛠️ Troubleshooting & Problem Solving:
Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. - 🛠️ Risk and Security Practice:
Knowledge of governance, risk, and controls. - 🛠️ Behavioural Competencies:
Ability to influence, make decisions, and build customer loyalty.
