NCP Chlorchem is excited to invite motivated South African youth to apply for the SHERQ (Safety, Health, Environment, Risk, and Quality) Learnership Programme 2025. This is a fantastic 12-month fixed-term learnership designed to equip learners with hands-on experience and theoretical knowledge in a leading chemical manufacturing environment.

About the Learnership

This programme aims to develop competent SHERQ professionals capable of supporting NCP Chlorchem’s compliance, risk management, quality assurance, and continuous improvement goals.

Learnership Purpose

This opportunity provides practical and theoretical training to prepare you for a career in SHERQ, with exposure to:

  • Legal compliance requirements

  • Risk assessment and management

  • Quality control and assurance

  • Environmental management practices

You will receive expert mentorship while gaining workplace experience aligned with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend and actively participate in both theoretical and practical SHERQ learning sessions

  • Complete logbooks and summative assessments throughout the programme

  • Carry out workplace tasks related to SHERQ standards and company policies

  • Support the SHERQ team in day-to-day operations and continuous improvement initiatives

Minimum Requirements

  • Education: Matric certificate with Mathematics and Sciences

  • Skills:

    • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

    • Excellent attention to detail

    • Good planning and organisational skills

  • Other:

    • Must pass a medical assessment

    • No prior experience required – ideal for fresh matriculants
