🧭 JOB OVERVIEW

The Shop Assistant plays a key role in delivering excellent customer service while supporting counter sales, warehouse operations, stock control, and colour matching. This role is ideal for a customer-focused individual with retail and stock-handling experience within an automotive or technical environment.

🎯 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Serve customers at the counter and process sales transactions accurately
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through professional service
Receive, pick, dispatch, and conduct stock takes in the warehouse
Perform colour matching according to automotive refinish standards
Maintain store cleanliness, visual merchandising, and presentation
Receive and organise shipments and deliveries
Deliver stock to customers when required
Comply with health and safety standards at all times

🎓 QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Grade 12 (Matric)

Experience

2–3 years’ retail experience
Exposure to warehouse or stock-handling environments
Automotive or technical product experience (advantageous)

Skills

Valid driver’s licence
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
Basic sales principles and retail practices
Good organisational and time-management skills
Computer literacy (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Product knowledge within a retail or automotive environment
