Job Description

The Shop Assistant will be responsible for providing customers with a pleasant shopping experience by leveraging product knowledge, ensuring stock availability, maintaining excellent housekeeping standards, staying updated with the latest fashion trends, and minimizing stock losses.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12
  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar environment

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-class customer service at all times
  • Process customer merchandise through the tills
  • Assist customers with product selection to increase basket value
  • Ensure that all new/replenished merchandise is on the sales floor
  • Maintain ticketing and visual displays
  • Support the manager with day-to-day duties
  • Ensure store equipment is secured and accounted for
  • Adhere to health and safety rules
  • Understand and work towards daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets
