Guardrisk, a leading specialist insurance provider, is seeking an experienced Senior Business Solutions Analyst to join their Sandton-based team. This role focuses on working closely with stakeholders to identify, design, and deliver innovative business solutions that align with organisational strategies and enhance operational efficiency.

🎯 Role Purpose

You will collaborate with business owners, developers, architects, and other key stakeholders to elicit, analyse, and document business requirements for existing and new projects, ensuring solutions are aligned with the company’s business architecture framework and strategic goals.

✅ Minimum Requirements

• Education: IT/Business qualification (3–4 years)

• Experience:

  • 5+ years in Short-Term Commercial Insurance domain (mandatory)

  • 7+ years in Business Analysis

• Preferred:

  • IIBA membership

  • CBAP certification

  • Industrial Engineering background

🛠 Duties & Responsibilities

• Translate business needs into functional and non-functional requirements, process maps, and specifications.

• Collaborate with technical teams to design optimal business solutions.

• Facilitate workshops, Agile ceremonies, and JAD sessions to gather requirements.

• Create functional specifications, use cases, activity diagrams, and sequence diagrams.

• Model data requirements to support business solutions.

• Investigate existing systems to identify process automation and improvement opportunities.

• Maintain repositories, traceability, and attribute matrices.

• Ensure solutions align with the SDLC and enterprise architecture principles.

• Train end-users and develop user manuals for new systems.

• Act as a scrum leader in the absence of a scrum master or product owner.
