🚀 Role Overview
As a Social Media Specialist, you will lead Mukuru’s social media strategy across multiple platforms. Reporting to the Digital Marketing Manager, you will create content strategies, execute campaigns, and manage social media channels to enhance engagement, build brand awareness, and grow Mukuru’s customer base.
This role combines creativity, analytics, and strategy to deliver measurable results in a fast-paced fintech environment.
đź”§ Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute creative content strategies that align with Mukuru’s brand identity.

Write, edit, and publish engaging copy for all social media platforms, adhering to brand guidelines.

Conduct market research and social listening to identify trends, competitor performance, and emerging opportunities.

Collaborate with internal teams to integrate social media strategies with broader marketing campaigns.

Monitor government regulations and ensure compliance with social media and digital marketing policies.

Optimize and manage social media platforms for maximum engagement and growth.

Plan, execute, and monitor paid social media campaigns, competitions, sponsorships, and affiliate programs.

Analyze social media performance metrics (KPIs) and provide insights and recommendations.

Track web analytics, including traffic, click-through rates, conversions, and campaign ROI.

Collaborate with designers, IT, and web teams to create multimedia content (video, images, graphics).

Propose and implement new social media tools, platforms, and technologies to improve marketing effectiveness.

Ensure positive brand sentiment and recommend improvements where necessary.

Attend KPI discussions and performance review meetings with the Digital Marketing Manager.

Stay up-to-date with fintech trends, product launches, and innovations in the digital marketing space.
🎓 Key Requirements

Education: Minimum Grade 12; Bachelor’s degree or Advanced Diploma in Marketing, Communications, or related field.

Experience:
-
Minimum 5 years in digital marketing.

Minimum 5 years managing social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok).

3+ years in fintech or financial services is advantageous.
