Are you passionate about social work and making a real impact in the lives of vulnerable individuals? The Haven Night Shelter Welfare Organisation is looking for a dedicated Social Worker to join our team in Swartland. Our mission is to provide social work services, rehabilitation opportunities, family reunification services, physical care, and support to homeless adults committed to reintegration.
Key Responsibilities 📝
✔ Provide comprehensive social work services to shelter residents
✔ Develop and monitor Personal Development Plans (PDPs) and Exit Plans for clients
✔ Schedule and conduct regular case reviews, including exit date evaluations
✔ Facilitate group therapy sessions (minimum of 10 hours per week within the first three weeks)
✔ Ensure confidentiality and protection of client information
✔ Work closely with the Shelter Manager to align service delivery with operational needs
✔ Maintain accurate case records and reports
✔ Support clients in achieving self-sufficiency and reintegration into society
Minimum Requirements 🌟
✔ Registered Social Worker with SACSSP (South African Council for Social Service Professions)
✔ Valid Code B Driver’s License – Non-negotiable
✔ No criminal record
✔ Ability to work independently and as part of a team
✔ Computer literacy – Proficiency in MS Outlook, MS Word, and Excel
✔ Strong ability to manage case files and implement intervention plans
✔ Experience in the NGO sector (advantageous)
✔ Fluency in English (A second language is beneficial)
