The Haven Night Shelter Organisation is seeking a qualified Social Worker to join their team at the Swartland Shelter. As a Social Worker, you will work directly with the Shelter Manager, contributing to the shelter’s mission and ensuring clients receive the support and care they need. Key Responsibilities

As a Social Worker at The Haven Night Shelter, you will:
✔️ Provide social work services to individuals at the shelter.
✔️ Develop and monitor Personal Development Plans (PDPs) and Exit Plans for all clients.
✔️ Conduct and manage reviews of the exit plans, ensuring the process is on track.
✔️ Present group work sessions, starting with at least 10 hours per week within 3 weeks of employment.
✔️ Work closely with the Shelter Manager to match work programmes.
✔️ Protect client information, ensuring compliance with privacy and confidentiality standards.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for the Social Worker role, you must meet the following criteria:
✔️ Qualification: A qualified Social Worker, registered with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP).
✔️ Experience: At least 1 year of social work experience, with expertise in creating and managing Personal Development and Exit Plans.
✔️ Driver’s License: A valid Code B driver’s license (non-negotiable).
✔️ Skills:

• Proficiency in MS Outlook, MS Word, and Excel.
• Ability to work under minimal supervision.
• Fluency in English (Additional languages will be an advantage).
  ✔️ Experience in NGO sector will be considered an advantage.
  ✔️ No criminal record.

Salary and Benefits

💰 Salary Package: R15,300.00 per month
