We are seeking two highly skilled Software Architects to join our team in Johannesburg or Durban. If you are passionate about designing complex software systems that are scalable, secure, and efficient, this is the role for you. As a Software Architect, your key responsibility will be ensuring the software architecture aligns with business goals, while keeping scalability, performance, and maintainability at the forefront of your designs.

What You Bring:
✅ Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
✅ Experience:

Minimum of 5 years as a Technical Lead or in a similar role, with expertise in designing and architecting complex software systems.

Proven track record of leadership in software development and architecture.
✅ Skills & Expertise:

Strong knowledge of software architecture patterns, methodologies, and best practices.

Ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders, including developers, testers, and business analysts.

Excellent organizational, planning, and analytical skills.

Ability to identify improvement opportunities and manage risks effectively.
What You’ll Do:
💡 Architecture Design:

Develop and communicate software architecture that aligns with business goals, best practices, and emerging technologies.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the architecture addresses system requirements, constraints, and performance needs.
🔍 System Analysis:

Conduct thorough system analysis to identify performance, scalability, and security improvements.

Create strategies and roadmaps for addressing system weaknesses.
👨💻 Technical Leadership:

Provide mentorship and guidance to development teams, ensuring adherence to coding standards and quality guidelines.

Lead the resolution of technical challenges and assist in the successful delivery of projects.
📋 Reviewing Standards:

Regularly review the implementation of defined architectural standards.

Establish and update standards as new technologies are adopted.
🚀 Prototyping & Proof of Concepts:

Design and develop prototypes to validate architectural decisions and explore new technologies.

Recommend tools and frameworks to enhance system performance.
⚠️ Risk Management:

Identify and manage potential risks within software architecture.

Implement measures to ensure the security and integrity of systems.
💬 Collaboration & Communication:

Work closely with product managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure architectural designs align with business needs.

Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
