Job Overview

The Developer role involves designing, developing, enhancing, and maintaining application software that supports business efficiency and customer experience. You will analyse user needs, create tailored software solutions, and contribute to continuous improvement within a regulated financial services environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, customise, and enhance application software to meet business and customer needs

• Analyse user requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions

• Maintain and improve existing applications by identifying defects and performance issues

• Perform routine application and system testing

• Implement information security measures including monitoring, encryption, and data protection

• Identify process and system inefficiencies and contribute to innovation initiatives

• Maintain application development roadmaps aligned with business priorities

• Support complex customer-related system queries

• Ensure compliance with organisational policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices

• Continuously build technical capability through learning and development

Qualifications

Education

• Grade 12 / SAQA-accredited equivalent (Essential)

• Recognised Software Development degree, diploma, or certification (Essential)

Experience

• Minimum 3 years’ experience using relevant programming languages or technologies

• Azure experience will be advantageous

Skills

• Application software development and maintenance
