About the Role:
We are currently looking for a Specialist Payroll Processing to join our team based in Johannesburg. As a member of our Global Business Services (GBS) team, you will play a key role in providing specialist advice and executing transactional services related to global payroll processing. You will work closely with various stakeholders, ensuring the integrity of payroll processes, compliance with country-specific legislative requirements, and the seamless execution of payroll services.
Your role will involve a focus on process integrity and compliance, with support in managing risks and ensuring the high quality of data and process governance. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the effectiveness of payroll processing across the South32 entities and help drive improvements in this critical function.
Key Responsibilities:

🗸 Analyze and apply country-specific legislative requirements to global payroll processes, including scheduled and unscheduled payroll runs.

🗸 Oversee vendor reporting and payroll payments, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.

🗸 Manage outsourced payroll compliance, ensuring all SLAs are met.

🗸 Maintain and manage the global payroll calendar across all South32 entities.

🗸 Conduct peer reviews of payroll processes and controls to ensure high standards are maintained.

🗸 Implement and maintain a positive assurance program for payroll integrity.

🗸 Support risk management initiatives, ensuring timely closure of all assigned actions.

🗸 Provide governance over outsourced payroll functions, ensuring compliance with all requirements.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will need:

🗸 Minimum of 4 years’ experience in HR or payroll execution, with some exposure to Shared Services.

🗸 Specialist knowledge of payroll functions and processes.

🗸 Comprehensive understanding of SAP payroll modules.
-
🗸 Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

🗸 Degree/BTECH/National Diploma in Business, Human Resources, Finance, or a similar discipline.
