🎯 Purpose of the Role

As the Specialist SOX & Governance, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Manager in ensuring that Finance Business Services, Supply Chain, and HR divisions comply with all SOX and SEC regulations. You will contribute to risk management, compliance workshops, evaluation of control failures, and coordination of SOX-related projects.

✅ Key Responsibilities

✔️ Assist in implementing and maintaining SOX compliance protocols
✔️ Support documentation and annual review of process flows
✔️ Participate in risk workshops and review control adequacy
✔️ Ensure new controls align with SOX standards for scoping changes
✔️ Manage SOX testing schedules and test result reviews
✔️ Track remediation plans for identified deficiencies
✔️ Coordinate SOX Compliance Committee meetings and materials
✔️ Deliver training to stakeholders and monitor SOX awareness
✔️ Maintain and update SOD mitigation registers and access reports
✔️ Liaise with internal/external auditors and address issues proactively
✔️ Prepare quarterly governance submissions and compliance reports
✔️ Support SAP access reviews, change controls, and certifications

📚 Education & Experience Requirements

🎓 Qualification:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance (required)

• CA(SA) or equivalent professional certification (preferred)

🧠 Experience:

• Minimum of 6 years relevant experience

• In-depth understanding of SOX compliance and internal controls

• Proven communication and stakeholder engagement skills
