NHS Scotland is seeking a passionate and skilled Staff Nurse (Band 5) to join the dynamic surgical team at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. This is a fantastic opportunity for a nurse who is eager to expand their expertise in general surgery within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

About the Role:
As a Staff Nurse in Ward 206, you will be part of a 20-bed general surgery unit specialising in colorectal, hepatobiliary, upper gastro-intestinal, and bariatric surgery. This busy ward is focused on delivering enhanced recovery pathways and providing exceptional patient-centered care. The position is full-time (37 hours per week) on night duty, including weekends, for a 12-month fixed-term period.

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivering high-quality, compassionate nursing care to surgical patients.

• Supporting patients through their surgical journey, including pre-operative and post-operative care.

• Collaborating closely with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

• Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation.

• Adhering to infection control and patient safety protocols at all times.

• Participating in ongoing training and development opportunities to advance your surgical nursing skills.
