As part of Agoda’s Data Core Apps Team, you will work on massive data systems, handling millions of writes per second and managing petabytes of data. We are pushing the boundaries of Big Data technologies, including Apache Spark, Hadoop, and more. If you love solving complex data challenges at scale, this is the role for you.
What You’ll Be Doing:

Technology Stack: You’ll navigate technologies such as Scala, Spark, Python, Hadoop, SQL, and S3 to improve our data systems’ scalability, speed, and accuracy.

System Design: You will design, build, test, and deploy new systems and libraries that meet the highest standards of quality and testing.

Automation: Work closely with product owners and engineers to automate data management and analysis tasks, optimizing workflows across the company.
Qualifications & Skills:

8+ years of experience in software and data engineering.

Expertise in Apache Spark, JVM, and Java or Scala.

SQL proficiency and solid analytical problem-solving skills.

Experience in Linux systems administration.

Strong understanding of data architecture principles is preferred.
It’s a plus if you have:

Experience with Data Infrastructure or Data Platform teams.

Familiarity with open-source products and Big Data ecosystems.
