JOB OVERVIEW

The Stock Clerk role is critical for ensuring efficient stock management in a fast-paced retail environment. The ideal candidate will handle stock receiving, dispatch, and storage, while maintaining accuracy and security. This position emphasizes teamwork, customer service, and operational discipline.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Receive and dispatch merchandise accurately within the stockroom

• Maintain stockroom housekeeping and security standards

• Ensure accurate recording of stock in the system

• Provide excellent customer service when required

• Collaborate effectively with team members to meet daily operational goals

• Manage time efficiently and adhere to stock management processes

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• Grade 12 (Matric)

Experience

• 1–2 years as a Stock Clerk or in stock management/retail operations

Skills & Competencies

• Numeracy and attention to detail

• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

• Knowledge of stock receiving and dispatch processes

• Basic MS Office skills

• Integrity, reliability, and process-driven mindset

• Customer-centric approach
