Purpose of the Role
As Store Manager, you’ll be responsible for the overall performance and efficiency of the store, leading a dynamic team to deliver results. You’ll drive sales, ensure operational compliance, manage customer service, and implement visual merchandising standards – all contributing to a store environment that reflects the Clicks brand promise: People. Key Responsibilities

Achieve the store’s financial goals by driving sales, tracking daily/weekly/monthly targets, and implementing corrective actions.

Oversee all store operations including stock control, expenses, shrinkage prevention, housekeeping, and admin processes.

Maintain high visual merchandising and promotional execution standards in line with Clicks’ brand image.

Recruit, manage, and develop employees to ensure a motivated, capable, and future-ready team.

Schedule staff appropriately to meet business needs while complying with labour policies.

Ensure efficient handling of administrative duties such as employee attendance and HR record submission.

Drive customer service excellence and club card participation by leading customer-centric initiatives.

Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including mall management and suppliers.

Keep abreast of local customer needs, demographics, and competitor activity to identify opportunities for improvement.

Foster a strong team culture between pharmacy, clinic, and store operations.

Promote Clicks’ vision to be the customer’s first-choice health and beauty retailer through brand-aligned leadership.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
Education:
-
Matric / Grade 12 with at least 50% in both Mathematics and English (Essential)
-
A tertiary qualification – B. Degree or Diploma in Retail Management, Finance, Pharmacy, or related field (Essential for external applicants)
Experience:
-
Minimum 2 years in a store management role within a retail or FMCG environment
-
OR successful completion of the Clicks Trainee Store Management Programme
-
Solid experience with financial management, including budgets, P&L statements, and financial ratios
