Job Overview

As a Storeman Production, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and accurate management of stock, work-in-progress parts, and consumables within the production stores. Your responsibilities will cover the entire stock lifecycle—from receipt and inspection to storage, issuing, and dispatching.

This role demands accuracy, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills to maintain the integrity of stock and support production flow.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming stock deliveries against purchase orders and delivery notes to ensure accuracy and quality compliance.

• Accurately capture all goods received and issued in the inventory management system (preferably Syspro).

• Store stock in designated areas, ensuring items are correctly placed to avoid damage or misplacement.

• Pick, issue, and dispatch goods according to internal requisitions and job cards in a timely manner.

• Ensure all relevant documentation is properly completed, maintained, and filed for audit and traceability purposes.

• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse handling equipment safely (forklift license preferred).

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment compliant with health and safety regulations.

• Assist with local deliveries and collections as required, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric Certificate.

• 3 to 5 years’ proven experience in a warehouse or stores environment, ideally within the mining or engineering sectors.

• Basic computer literacy with the ability to navigate inventory systems; experience with Syspro is a strong advantage.

• Solid understanding of inventory control and stock movement processes.

• Ability to work independently, manage pressure, and prioritize tasks effectively.

• Physically fit to handle manual stock movements.

• Valid forklift license is advantageous.

• Driver’s license (Code 08 or higher) preferred but not mandatory.
