Overview

Feedem Catering is recruiting a Storeman to manage the storage, receiving, and dispatching of goods within catering operations. The role ensures proper stock control, safe storage of supplies, and accurate record keeping while supporting production requirements.

Feedem is a large contract catering company operating over 300 sites across South Africa, employing more than 5,000 staff including chefs, dieticians, hygiene experts, and human capital specialists.


Minimum Requirements

  • National Senior Certificate (Matric)

  • Diploma or Advanced Certificate

  • 2–3 years’ experience in a similar role

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Storeman within a catering environment

  • Advanced computer literacy in MS Excel and MS Word

  • Proven experience in stock control, costing, and storekeeping

  • Strong financial and administrative understanding

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain accurate records of all incoming goods

  • Receive, unpack, and verify deliveries from suppliers

  • Monitor stock levels and conduct regular stock checks

  • Order materials and consumables required for production

  • Ensure materials and equipment are available for upcoming projects

  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the store or laboratory

  • Conduct laboratory and field testing where required

  • Maintain accurate laboratory and field records

  • Ensure all tools and equipment are tested and properly tagged

  • Build supplier relationships and source competitive pricing

  • Develop and manage tools budgets while reducing repair costs
