As a Stormwater Engineer, you will play a vital role in designing, analyzing, and managing drainage, flood control, and hydrology systems for diverse infrastructure initiatives, from road and rail developments to complex urban drainage solutions.


🔧 Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct hydrological and hydraulic analysis of storm rainfall, catchment runoff, and watercourses

  • Design sustainable stormwater reticulation systems, culverts, and flood control structures

  • Perform flood risk assessments and stormwater master planning

  • Develop technical project specifications, BOQs, and tender documentation

  • Utilize advanced modelling tools such as HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, TUFLOW, PCSWMM, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D

  • Integrate sustainable urban drainage systems (SUDS) into infrastructure projects

  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams on large-scale engineering initiatives


✅ Minimum Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field

  • Registered or working towards Chartered Engineer status

Experience:

  • 4–7 years of experience in stormwater engineering or related infrastructure design

  • Experience with stormwater drainage, culverts, scour protection, and flood risk infrastructure – essential

  • Proficiency in hydrological/hydraulic design software and CAD/GIS tools

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of hydrology, hydraulics, and drainage systems

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

  • Ability to manage technical documentation and contribute to tenders and proposals

  • Experience in multi-disciplinary project environments – advantageous
