Role Overview
🛠️ Structural Project Engineer
You will join a multidisciplinary team delivering international water and wastewater infrastructure projects across the UK, Europe, and the Middle East. The role requires comprehensive structural design capabilities, collaboration with global engineering teams, and commitment to high-quality, sustainable engineering practices.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare structural designs in reinforced concrete, steel, and masonry for global water-related infrastructure.
• Produce concept, preliminary, and detailed design packages, including analysis and technical reports.
• Ensure compliance with Eurocodes, BS Standards, and international best practice.
• Coordinate with civil, mechanical, process, and electrical engineers for seamless project delivery.
• Support the production of drawings, specifications, and tender documentation.
• Assist during procurement and construction phases by addressing technical queries and reviewing contractor submissions.
• Participate in design reviews, value-engineering exercises, and risk assessments.
• Maintain project quality, budget adherence, and schedule performance.
• Mentor junior engineers and CAD technicians.
• Collaborate effectively across international teams and time zones.
Qualifications and Experience
🎓 Education & Registration
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (BEng/BSc).
• ECSA registration or eligibility for PrEng/PrTechEng.
💼 Experience
• 5–8 years’ experience in structural design and project delivery.
• Proficiency in reinforced concrete and steel design for infrastructure projects.
• Experience with water/wastewater structures is an advantage.
🧰 Technical Skills
• Strong understanding of Eurocodes and BS standards.
• Proficiency in structural analysis tools (e.g., Robot, Tekla Structural Designer, Tekla Tedds).
• Understanding of construction sequencing and site practices.
