Your Role: Supplier/Vendor QA Engineer

As a Supplier Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer at Lam Research, you will play a vital role within the Supplier Engineering and Technology (SET) organization. Your main focus will be to collaborate with global surface treatment suppliers, ensuring manufacturing processes and products consistently meet the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with internal engineering teams to develop and release surface treatment processes/products to suppliers.

• Investigate key quality defects and drive corrective actions for continuous improvement.

• Improve supplier quality and manufacturing capabilities, ensuring high product standards and on-time delivery.

• Conduct supplier audits and document performance on critical process parameters and quality systems.

• Partner with global stakeholders including product management, business managers, and engineering groups.

• Lead high-impact projects, driving timelines and milestones to completion.

• Continuously innovate and improve QA processes by developing Best Known Methods (BKMs).

• Perform standardized supplier quality audits and manage supplier scorecards.

• Conduct Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) analyses using methodologies like 8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone, etc.

What You Bring

• 7+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree OR
  5+ years with a Master’s degree OR
  PhD with relevant academic background.

• Bachelor’s (or higher) in Chemical, Materials Engineering, or a related discipline.

• In-depth knowledge of surface treatment processes (e.g., precision cleaning, anodizing).

• Solid understanding of Quality Management Systems and statistical process control (SPC).

• Experience in the semiconductor industry, especially in quality or R&D.

• Familiarity with supplier quality processes and international collaboration.

• Strong project management and problem-solving skills.

• Bilingual proficiency in Korean and English.

• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced, high-tech environment.
