Job Overview

The Supply Chain Analytics Intern will join the analytics team within the Takealot Fulfilment Solutions (TFS) environment. This internship provides exposure to real-world data analytics used to support logistics operations, supply chain performance, and business decision-making.

Interns will work with large datasets, develop automation scripts, support internal data pipelines, and build reporting dashboards that assist operational teams in improving efficiency and performance.

The internship programme provides practical training and mentorship while exposing interns to the fast-paced world of e-commerce and logistics operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse and interpret SQL-based datasets to identify trends and operational insights

  • Support decision-making by analysing supply chain and operational data

  • Develop and maintain Python automation scripts to improve recurring data processes

  • Support, monitor, and improve existing data pipelines and internal analytics tools

  • Ensure the reliability and performance of analytics systems and reporting solutions

  • Design and build dashboards and reporting tools for internal stakeholders

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into data solutions

  • Perform data cleaning, wrangling, and preparation for analysis

  • Work with large datasets and structured databases

  • Contribute to improving operational efficiency through data-driven insights


Qualifications

Education

Applicants must have an:

  • N6 Certificate in Computer Studies, Information Technology, or Information Systems

Experience

  • Suitable for entry-level candidates or graduates seeking internship experience

Technical Skills

  • Foundational knowledge of Excel, SQL, Python, or R

  • Familiarity with AI large language models (e.g., ChatGPT)

  • Basic knowledge of databases and data structures

  • Understanding of software development principles

  • Ability to work with large datasets and analytics tools
