Role Overview

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Supply Chain Co-ordinator to join our team in Paarl. You will play a pivotal role in managing raw material inventory, procurement activities, and store operations to ensure seamless supply chain efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Raw Material Management

• Capture and manage raw material Goods Received Notes (GRNs), issues, returns, and daily updates to the production schedule.

• Place and track orders for raw materials according to production needs.

• Oversee issuing and returning of materials between stores and production.

• Liaise with Technical and Sales teams to ensure availability of materials.

• Manage non-conforming materials and coordinate their return to suppliers.

• Administer consignment stock and monthly stock counts with accurate reporting.

• Maintain online purchasing systems and ensure correct material specifications and stock rotation.

Purchasing & Administration

• Manage purchase order systems including verification of deliveries against orders (quantities, prices, and quality).

• Maintain accurate purchasing records and supplier data, analyze trends, and update systems.

• Source and negotiate with suppliers to secure optimal purchasing packages.

• Monitor supplier deliveries for On-Time In-Full (OTIF) compliance.

• Assist in supplier audits and procurement meetings, ensuring adherence to company policies.

General Supply Chain Duties

• Support and improve Safety, BRC, and FSC compliance systems.

• Supervise and assist Storeman with store duties and housekeeping standards.

• Maintain and update supplier records, ratings, and procurement reports.

• Capture raw material price lists and manage the Savings Register.

• Compile various operational and management reports as required.

What You Need to Succeed

• Minimum Grade 12 (Matric) qualification.

• Proven experience in supply chain or procurement coordination.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

• Ability to quickly learn business information systems.

• Strong numerical accuracy, attention to detail, and organisational skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication.

• Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
