The internship offers an immersive experience in procurement, compliance, and contract management. As a Supply Chain Intern, you will be part of a supportive team that ensures the effective management of SHRA’s supply chain processes, helping the organization maintain high standards in service delivery.

  • Position: Supply Chain Management Intern (1 position available)

  • Division: Supply Chain Unit

  • Stipend: R10,500.00 per month

  • Duration: 24 months

  • Reporting Line: SCM Manager

This 24-month programme is designed to equip you with valuable work experience, setting a strong foundation for your career in the public or private sector.

✅ Minimum Entry Requirements:

  • South African citizen aged between 18–35 years

  • Grade 12 / Matric certificate

  • National Diploma (NQF 6) in:

    • Supply Chain Management

    • Logistics

    • Purchasing Management

  • A Bachelor’s degree (NQF 7) in any of the above fields is a plus

  • No prior work experience needed

🔑 Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the SCM team with contract management and tender evaluations (RFQ, RFP, RFB)

  • Assist with compliance monitoring to ensure adherence to:

    • Public Finance Management Act (PFMA)

    • Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act (PPPFA)

    • Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE)

  • Facilitate purchase order processing, delivery tracking, and invoice handling

  • Maintain and update SCM documentation according to ISO Standards

  • Resolve any supply chain-related issues affecting internal and external stakeholders

  • Offer administrative assistance to ensure the smooth operation of the SCM unit
