๐ About the MQA SCM Graduate Internship Programme
The Mining Qualifications Authority (MQA) is offering a fantastic 24-month internship for unemployed graduates in the field of Supply Chain Management (SCM). This is a valuable opportunity for recent graduates who are eager to gain hands-on experience and insight into SCM operations within the mining industry and public sector.
As part of the MQAโs Supply Chain Unit, successful candidates will have the chance to develop essential skills in contract management, procurement, tender evaluation, and much more. โ Who Should Apply?
This internship is aimed at unemployed South African citizens who meet the following criteria:
โ๏ธ Grade 12 (Matric) certificate
โ๏ธ National Diploma or Degree in one of the following areas:

Supply Chain Management

Public Management
-
Public Administration
-
Logistics
-
Purchasing Management
-
Or an equivalent qualification
โ๏ธ Unemployed and have not participated in any previous internship programme.
โ๏ธ Individuals who are eager to learn and contribute to the success of the MQA’s Supply Chain Unit.
๐ Key Responsibilities
As an intern, you will gain practical experience and contribute to a range of activities within the Supply Chain Unit:
๐น Contract Management: Assist in managing contracts and ensuring compliance with relevant acts, such as the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), Public Private Partnership Act (PPPFA), and B-BBEE regulations.
๐น Tender Evaluation: Evaluate tenders, ensuring all procurement activities align with MQA’s objectives.
๐น Purchase Orders: Support the processing of purchase orders and ensure all steps are followed in the order-to-delivery cycle.
๐น Document Management: Keep track of contracts, invoices, and purchase orders while ensuring all paperwork is up to date and stored in accordance with ISO standards.
๐น Supply Chain Support: Provide support for resolving any issues related to the supply chain that may affect internal and external stakeholders.
๐น General Administrative Support: Assist with various administrative duties to support the overall functioning of the department.
This internship will provide exposure to various aspects of the supply chain field and allow you to gain essential experience that will be invaluable in your future career.
