📦 Job Summary

As a Senior Strategic Supply Chain Manager, you will take ownership of inventory planning, supply chain optimization, and end-to-end operational performance in Amazon South Africa’s fast-paced retail environment.

This role is ideal for a supply chain expert who thrives on data, process innovation, and delivering outstanding customer experiences. You will work cross-functionally with internal teams, vendors, and leadership to drive business performance through analytics, scalable systems, and operational excellence.

🧠 Key Responsibilities

• Lead inventory planning strategies to optimize customer experience, sales, and margin.

• Manage end-to-end supply chain operations from manufacturers to end customers.

• Continuously assess and improve supply chain KPIs such as:

  • Out-of-Stock Rate

  • Overstock Rate

  • Inbound Lead Time

  • Delivery Speed

  • Fill and Confirmation Rates

• Identify and deliver process improvements and system automation opportunities.

• Use advanced data analytics to influence decision-making and drive business reviews.

• Collaborate with external vendors and internal stakeholders for process alignment.

• Contribute insights to senior leadership via written and verbal reporting.

🎓 Basic & Preferred Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of professional/military experience.

• Experience working with complex datasets and operational environments.

• Proven ability to deliver results through influence and collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Background in statistics, supply chain analytics, or data science.

• Proficiency in SQL or related data query languages.

• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
