Role Overview: System Analyst
As a System Analyst at Capitec Bank, your primary responsibilities will include:
🔧 Design & Development: Designing, developing, and maintaining automation and system integrations throughout the Systems Development Lifecycle. Your work will align with business processes and governance standards, ensuring that systems function optimally and securely.
⚙️ Technical Support & Query Resolution: Providing expert technical system support, resolving queries, and ensuring timely resolution of technical issues.
💡 Collaboration: Liaising with internal and external system parties to maintain smooth operations and address technical challenges promptly.
🔍 System Analysis & Design: Applying your deep understanding of systems analysis methodologies, and developing solutions that meet the needs of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- ✅ Automation & Integration: Develop and configure system automation and integration solutions aligned with Capitec’s business needs and governance standards.
- ✅ Technical Support: Provide hands-on technical support to resolve system-related queries and issues in a timely manner.
- ✅ System Design & Documentation: Design system structures, draft source documents, and assist in creating training materials.
- ✅ Agile Development: Work with Agile methodologies to ensure fast, efficient system development and deployment.
- ✅ Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with other technical teams to ensure smooth project delivery and issue resolution.
Minimum Requirements
Education:
🎓 Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Information Systems.
Experience:
💼 5-8 years of experience in Systems Design and Analysis, preferably in banking or a similar industry.
💻 At least 1–2 years of telco experience is advantageous.
Technical Skills:
- Transact-SQL
- SQL
- Web Services
- HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Ideal Additional Skills
- Jira and Confluence for project tracking and documentation
- Automation tools for system integration
- Programming languages: JAVA, C#, and familiarity with .NET Frameworks
- Agile development lifecycle knowledge and experience
- Strong Quality Assurance (QA) practices and understanding of best practices
- Experience in Project Management and Coordination, including Technical Test Plan Design
