Are you passionate about Unix/Linux systems and cloud infrastructure solutions? BCX is looking for an experienced Systems Engineer (Unix & Linux) to handle installations, modifications, monitoring, and troubleshooting of open systems. This role requires expertise in technical support, problem-solving, and providing consulting services to clients and engineers.

Key Responsibilities ✅

✔ Technical Leadership: Provide specialized support for Unix/Linux infrastructure, ensuring reliability and performance.
✔ System Administration: Install, configure, and maintain Unix/Linux environments, including cloud and on-prem solutions.
✔ Problem-Solving & Support: Perform high-level analysis, troubleshooting, and root cause diagnostics for system issues.
✔ Service Delivery: Act as the interface between customers, accounts, and third-party vendors to manage risks and service expectations.
✔ Compliance & Standards: Evaluate operational compliance, participate in audits, and ensure adherence to industry best practices.
✔ Technical Documentation: Create and maintain infrastructure standards, procedures, and monitoring thresholds.
✔ Collaboration: Work closely with sales, support teams, and engineers to provide strategic technical recommendations.
✔ Active Directory Management: Support and maintain Active Directory, Azure AD, and Microsoft Identity Management infrastructure in alignment with service-level agreements.

Required Qualifications & Experience 🎓

✔ Education: NQF Level 6 – 3-year Degree/Diploma/National Diploma in a relevant field OR Grade 12 (NQF 4) with additional experience.
✔ Experience:

• 5+ years in Unix/Linux system administration (with a relevant degree/diploma) OR
• 7+ years of hands-on Unix/Linux experience (with Grade 12).
  ✔ Certifications (Preferred):
• Red Hat Sales Specialist – IT Automation & Management
• IBM Sales: Power Systems with AIX
