In this role, you will contribute significantly to the preparation, review, and filing of tax computations and returns, ensuring compliance with South African Revenue Service (SARS) regulations. You’ll work closely with clients and internal teams to maintain high standards of tax compliance and performance. The role offers a mix of technical tax work, client liaison, and collaboration with various departments.
🔍 Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and review tax computations for clients.

Ensure timely filing of quarterly and annual tax returns.

Monitor the status of client tax compliance and produce KPIs.

Assist with regular tax updates and internal training sessions.

Provide technical support on tax matters to client service teams.

Assist in drafting and submitting applications for tax rulings.

Liaise with clients and SARS regarding queries and meetings.

Conduct research on domestic and international tax issues.

Keep up-to-date with changes in tax laws and ensure their implementation.

Review and amend client documents and submissions in response to SARS queries.
🧩 Skills and Experience:

Recently qualified CA (SA) or SAIPA candidate with experience in international tax and research.

Registered Tax Practitioner.

Strong background in tax through articles or audit training.

Excellent attention to detail and a proactive mindset.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Strong communication skills and a natural problem solver.
