π Role Purpose
The Team Assistant β Mining provides essential administrative, secretarial, and operational support to the department. This role ensures seamless coordination, efficient documentation, and high-level assistance that enhances productivity across the mining business unit.
You will be the backbone of office operations, enabling managers and teams to work effectively and maintain high standards of professionalism.
π Key Responsibilities
π Administrative & Operational Management

Manage daily office administration to support departmental workflow.

Coordinate diaries, meeting schedules, agendas, and take clear, accurate minutes.

Ensure department documentation is error-free, professionally formatted, and compliant with branding requirements.

Develop and maintain an efficient filing, storage, and document retrieval system.
ποΈ Reporting & Documentation

Assist with preparing departmental submissions and reports.

Issue approved reports promptly and update the reporting module.

Maintain updated distribution lists for internal documentation.

Support with word processing, spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations, and database management.
βοΈ Travel & Logistics

Arrange local and international travel and accommodation bookings.

Coordinate internal and external events, team workshops, and conferences.

Manage inventory, supply purchasing, and ensure budget compliance.
-
Oversee goods and service activities such as purchasing, delivery, dispatch, and receipts.
π¬ Communication & Team Support

Answer calls, take messages, and respond to inquiries professionally.

Log IT or operational issues on behalf of the team and ensure timely resolution.

Support managers with workflow coordination to ensure smooth daily operations.
π° Procurement & Finance Support

Load purchase requisitions (PRs), invoices, and follow up on payment processing.

Monitor departmental supplies to ensure resources are available when needed.
π Qualifications
Minimum Requirement
-
Grade 12 / Matric (High School Diploma or equivalent)
Experience
-
3+ years relevant administrative or office support experience
-
Mining or industrial sector experience is advantageous
