We have an exciting Team Leader role available at our Germiston branch. This is your chance to step into a leadership position within a thriving and dynamic business. As a Team Leader, you will manage day-to-day branch operations, ensuring performance targets are met, compliance is maintained, and your team delivers outstanding guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities
Branch Growth & Sales
-
Drive sales and meet branch performance targets.
-
Engage with guests to promote all betting products and services.
-
Keep betting boards updated with the latest information.
-
Ensure complete understanding of game rules, odds, and payouts.
Cash & Compliance Management
-
Manage cash in line with company procedures to minimize risk.
-
Educate and enforce FICA compliance across the team.
-
Handle daily banking, EFT processes, and credit card transactions efficiently.
-
Monitor and report cash discrepancies, lost ticket claims, and ensure accurate reconciliations.
Operations & Reporting
-
Manage stock control, weekly stock takes, and address shortages.
-
Compile daily operational newsflashes and branch performance updates.
-
Maintain high standards of branch security, appearance, and equipment functionality.
Leadership & People Management
-
Lead, train, and motivate your team to deliver excellent service.

Manage team schedules and attendance.
-
Foster a guest-centric culture with an emphasis on service excellence.
Compliance & Ethics
-
Uphold all compliance standards related to the Gambling Board and company policies.

Ensure team adherence to ethical practices, such as prohibiting personal betting while on duty.

Maintain proper uniform and presentation standards at all times.
Guest Experience
-
Build strong relationships with regular guests.

Quickly and effectively resolve guest complaints.

Champion a culture of hospitality and professionalism.
Requirements
Essential:
-
1-2 years of leadership experience
-
Entry-level experience in sales or a related environment
Preferred:
-
Diploma/Degree or NQF 4 Learnership
-
6+ months experience within the gaming or betting industry
-
Valid driver’s license
