Are you passionate about providing exceptional IT support and solving technical challenges? BCX, a leader in ICT services, is seeking a Tech Officer: Call Desk Consultant to join its dynamic Field Services team based in Kenilworth, Western Cape.
In this pivotal role, you will deliver remote technical support to BCX clients, ensuring their IT systems run smoothly and efficiently. You’ll work in a fast-paced environment, diagnosing issues, resolving problems, and enhancing customer satisfaction—all while upholding BCX’s commitment to service excellence.
Key Responsibilities:

Investigate and resolve technical issues remotely for clients.

Track, route, and log problems and requests through the call logging system.

Follow up on outstanding client queries promptly, meeting agreed SLA timelines.

Escalate unresolved or recurring technical problems to the management team.

Direct complex incidents to the correct internal teams or resources.

Keep accurate and up-to-date records of all client interactions and solutions provided.

Maintain high levels of professionalism and client service at all times.
Skills & Competencies Required:

Technical Expertise: Strong ICT knowledge with experience in hardware and software troubleshooting.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage effectively with clients.

Problem-Solving: Analytical approach to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently.

Customer Focus: Commitment to delivering outstanding customer experiences.

Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, follow up on incidents, and document resolutions accurately.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

Education: Minimum of NQF 4 (Grade 12) or equivalent.

Experience: At least 2 years of experience supporting hardware and software within the Retail IT environment.

Certifications (Advantageous):

CompTIA A+
-
Microsoft Certified (MCSA/MCSE)

Linux certifications (LPIC 1 & 2, CompTIA Linux+)
