🎯 Job Purpose

As a Technical Analyst, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between Business Systems Analysts, Industry Participants, and Offshore Delivery Teams. This role is key in ensuring that technical requirements and solution build specifications align with business objectives—especially in the modernization of payment systems using global standards such as ISO 20022.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

🔍 Product Development

• Analyze BankservAfrica’s systems to align payment messaging formats with global best practices.

• Drive the implementation of domestic and international message standards.

• Manage review cycles for BankservAfrica’s message standard releases.

• Support transformation of payment processing systems in line with international protocols.

📈 Business Improvement

• Advocate for the adoption of advanced tools for managing payment standards and message handling.

• Enable future-proof product architecture, particularly concerning interbank messaging.

🤝 Stakeholder Engagement

• Collaborate with internal teams, industry stakeholders, offshore delivery groups, and regulatory bodies to ensure successful project execution.

📚 Required Qualifications & Skills

• 🎓 Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Computer Science, or equivalent.

• 📖 Solid understanding of Payment Systems, SDLC, Business Analysis, and Technical Analysis.

• 🛠️ Technical tool proficiency and development exposure advantageous.

• 🧠 Database design knowledge is a plus.

• 📦 Familiarity with ISO 20022 and PayShap standards preferred.

• 💻 Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

📌 Experience Required

• ✅ 8+ years of experience working on Financial Services IT projects.

• ✅ 4+ years in a dedicated Technical Analyst or related professional role.
