Job Overview

The Technical Assistant is responsible for performing maintenance tasks on buildings and equipment, ensuring that hospital assets are kept in optimal condition. The role requires technical aptitude, adherence to safety standards, and collaboration with the Technical Department to maintain hospital operations effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform technical maintenance jobs within the hospital

• Identify, assess, and control risks in the technical environment

• Conduct general equipment repairs and building maintenance

• Perform office administration duties for the Technical Department

• Build and maintain stakeholder and client relationships within the department

• Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) standards

Qualifications & Experience

🎓 Education

• Essential: Grade 10 or equivalent technical vocational qualification

• Desired: Grade 12

🛠️ Certifications

• Desired: Code B Driver’s License

💼 Experience

• Essential: No prior experience required (technical aptitude needed)

• Desired: 1 year of experience in general building maintenance

📚 Skills & Knowledge

• Building maintenance knowledge

• General equipment repair skills

• Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment (OHS and ISO)

• Computer literacy (Microsoft Office)
