Role Purpose

Key Responsibilities
Systems Support
π₯οΈ Provide comprehensive end-user support, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
π οΈ Perform system upgrades, install patches, and apply configuration changes.
π» Assist in the deployment and management of IT resources and assets.
π Ensure that server and cloud environments are running optimally with minimal downtime.
Systems Architecture
π§ Analyze and optimize existing IT infrastructure to enhance system performance and scalability.
π Design and implement solutions to improve system reliability and efficiency.
π Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and drive continuous improvements.
π Maintain detailed documentation, including system designs, configurations, and support procedures.
Cyber Security
π‘οΈ Develop and execute incident response plans for security breaches.
π Conduct regular security audits and proactively implement data protection measures.
β‘ Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats and suggest necessary security enhancements.
Additional Duties
π Work shifts (24/7/365) and be prepared for standby duties and irregular hours.
π¬ Communicate effectively with non-technical users to provide clear support and troubleshooting.
π Be proactive in self-learning and staying current with IT trends and best practices.
Required Technical Skills
π₯οΈ Hardware and Software Troubleshooting β Ability to diagnose and resolve IT issues quickly and efficiently.
π Operating Systems β Proficiency in Windows, macOS, and Linux (depending on company needs).
π Networking Knowledge β Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and basic firewall configurations.
π IT Security Awareness β Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices.
π» Remote Support & Ticketing Systems β Experience with tools like TeamViewer, AnyDesk, or ServiceNow.
π Microsoft Office & Productivity Suites β Strong understanding of Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and similar tools.
π Active Directory & User Management β Experience with user account creation, password resets, etc.
π§° Basic Scripting & Automation (optional) β Knowledge of PowerShell, Bash, or Python is a plus.
Essential Soft Skills

Qualifications & Certifications
π Matric Certificate (Grade 12)
π Diploma or Degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (advantageous but not required)

π CompTIA Network+ β Strong foundation in networking concepts
π₯οΈ Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate β Windows support knowledge
