Capitec Bank, one of South Africaโ€™s leading retail banks, is looking for a Technical Support Specialist I to join their Bellville, Western Cape campus on a 6-month contract. This role involves delivering 2nd Tier technical support to Capitec branches and 1st Tier support to the internal campus environment. Your technical acumen and commitment to excellent service will ensure fast and effective resolution of technical issues while supporting the seamless operation of systems bank-wide.


๐Ÿ” Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver 2nd Tier support to Capitec Bank branches and 1st Tier technical assistance to campus environments.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues.

  • Perform root cause analysis to prevent recurring problems and ensure long-term resolutions.

  • Work within established Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to uphold excellent service delivery standards.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to escalate and resolve complex IT issues.


๐ŸŽ“ Minimum Requirements:

  • 1โ€“2 years’ experience in IT service and technical support.

  • Strong background in basic hardware, software, and network support.

  • Previous experience in branch support or as an internal branch champion is advantageous.

  • A certification in Information Technology โ€“ Computer Science or Technical Support.


๐ŸŒŸ Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • 2+ years of proven experience in IT service delivery.

  • Tertiary qualification in IT, Computer Science, or Technical Support.

  • Familiarity with banking systems and service environments.

  • Effective conflict resolution and client service capabilities.

  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical thinking.

  • In-depth understanding of client care and service protocols.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship management skills.

  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments.
