Key Purpose of the Role:

The Outbound Telesales Consultant will play a pivotal role in expanding Discovery Insure’s customer base by making outbound calls to prospective clients. These calls will focus on insuring clients’ motor, household, and home policies. The role offers a fast-paced, target-driven environment where consultants will make a direct impact on the growth of the business.


Key Responsibilities:

✔️ Achieve Monthly Sales Targets: Drive sales by proactively contacting potential clients.
✔️ Conduct Financial Needs Analysis: Provide sound financial advice tailored to clients’ needs.
✔️ Accurate Administration: Ensure timely and accurate administration of client data within the relevant systems.
✔️ Client Communication: Maintain clear communication with clients, addressing queries related to outbound calls via phone and email.
✔️ Service Level Adherence: Meet departmental service level agreements for consistent sales performance.
✔️ Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with internal teams and clients.
✔️ Risk & Compliance: Ensure adherence to risk and compliance standards.
✔️ Teamwork and Alignment: Work collaboratively with team members, while upholding Discovery’s values and commitment to service excellence.

Qualifications and Experience:

✔️ Essential Qualifications:

  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • Full FAIS Credits – Short-Term Insurance
  • RE5 Qualification (Essential and/or advantageous)
  • Class of Business Certificate (Essential and/or advantageous)
  • Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Certificate (Essential and/or advantageous)
  • Minimum 2 years of telesales experience in the short-term insurance industry (Essential)

✔️ Advantageous:

  • Degree in a related field
